Lara O'Brien was born in
Dublin and raised on the wild and wondrous hill of Howth, as in Howth
is Magic, a beautiful seaside town on the northeast coast of
Ireland with cliff paths and moors of outstanding beauty.
She grew up one of many children who were part of Howth Riding
Stables, a barn for twenty-five horses, cows, and a clever dog named
Polly. It was an adventurous and innocent childhood. Chescaandthe
Spirit of Grace is her first novel.
Lara lives on Martha's Vineyard with her husband, four children and
a great golden, Tukka - a talking dog.
