Today Amy is a teacher and freelance writer who lives with her husband, Doug, and youngest daughter, Lily, on Martha's Vineyard Island. Her older children, Ellie and Sam, are successfully launched. Amy spends her days happily teaching language arts and social studies to fifth and sixth graders. Her late afternoons are spent at a local barn taking care of her horse, Alex. During evenings and weekends, when she's not writing, gardening, or grading papers, Amy enjoys time with family and friends.
